Sunday July 12 - 3 p.m. Lorentz/Lopez Duo with Poet Michele Battiste
The Lorentz/Lopez duo is a Colorado based flute and guitar duo with a passion for creating new and exciting concert programs. Ethan Lorentz plays guitar while Kassandra Lopez plays flute. The duo strives to expand classical chamber music by playing modern works, creating new arrangements, and collaborating with composers. They also draw on influences from outside the classical sphere. Programs often fuse classical, jazz, Latin American, and pop influences, in unique arrangements of music ranging from Bach to Amy Winehouse. Between the two of them, Lorentz/Lopez hold six degrees from the Lamont School of Music, University of Northern Colorado, and University of Colorado Boulder, and have received multiple grants and awards for outstanding musicianship and academics.
