IMPORTANT: Why Church of Beethoven-NoCo is Donating to CPR Classical

Early this morning (July 17), the US Senate approved massive cuts to National Public Radio as part of a $9B clawback of moneys already approved by Congressfor NPR, PBS and foreign humanitarian aid. It looks like this slash-and-burn legislation will soon pass the US House too.

It’s not about the money. It turns out that the budget for public media is about .01% of the federal budget, averaging less than $1.70 per person per year in the USA. 

In light of these URGENT events, Church of Beethoven-NoCo has committed a monthly donation to Denver-based CPR Classical. We want to show that CPR Classical is worth more than $1.70 per year. 

We listen to CPR classical almost every day and appreciate the well-curated 24-hour classical radio station that supports Colorado artists and provides the most beautiful, life-affirming music of the last 500 years. Classical music unites us, despite those who want to divide us.
